FlyPix Release: v4.5.0
Version 4.5.0 gives you control over how datasets are prepared for training. A new Band settings section on a dataset's page lets you choose which bands to train on and normalize each one, with custom ranges, presets or values measured from the data. Every annotation of a file, dataset or workspace can now be exported as one GeoJSON file, in the background if you wish, and Change Detection can be applied to selected regions instead of the full image. GeoSense replies link to more items, such as trainings, inferences, orders and regions, and the map explains images that fail to load. Signing up now asks for your profile details first, a new account opens on its sample project, and annotation property changes appear live. This release also fixes a handful of issues.
Changelog
New Features and Improvements
An Export Annotations option in the menus of files, datasets and workspaces, and in the actions for selected files, downloads every annotation of every vector as one GeoJSON file. In the workspace, the Vector Layers menu exports every layer of the current scene, or of the whole workspace when it spans several files. Settings can be adjusted while the annotations load, rasters and vectors can be left out, and new Raster ID and Raster Name columns tell apart annotations from different files. Exports of any size are supported, can continue in the background while you keep working, and can be aborted at any time.
GeoSense replies can now link to trainings, inferences, orders, regions, annotations and classes. Clicking a region or an annotation shows it in the open workspace, switching scene or adding its raster as a new scene when needed. Where the workspace can't show it, GeoSense offers to open one that can.
The new Band settings section on a dataset's page shows the band layout of its rasters and lets you choose, by dragging band cards onto lines, whether to train on one band (grayscale) or three (RGB), in which order, and which optional band marks transparency. Each selected band can be normalized with a custom range or a preset, or set to Auto to be measured from the data when the dataset is exported. Frozen datasets show the settings they inherited. Freezing or training a dataset warns you first if band edits are still unsaved.
Applying Change Detection now works like applying a model: choose Full Image or Regions in the dialog, and the run, with its cost estimate, covers only the selected regions of the first scene.
Changes
Signing up now starts by asking for your full name, organization and role, before you choose an email address or a Google or LinkedIn account. The app no longer asks for them after your first login. The sign-in page also shows a short product video and offers a one-minute interactive tour.
A new account now opens on the projects list, where its sample project appears as soon as it is created. A notification shows while the sample project is being prepared, and another, with a button to open it, once it is ready to use.
Changes to annotation properties now appear without reloading the page, whether they are made in another tab or by another member of the organization. The map, the attribute table and the inspector update in place.
When a file's image cannot be read, or parts of it fail to load, the map now says so in a message over the viewport instead of staying blank. Messages that a page reload can resolve include a Reload button.
Fixes
Color and dropdown properties can now be cleared back to no value, in both the inspector and the attribute table. The inspector also shows these properties as unset when they have no value, instead of as black or as the first dropdown option.
Dialogs such as Create New Class, Create Folder or Create New Scene now start fresh each time they open, instead of showing the values and errors left over from the last time they were closed.
Asking GeoSense to find objects by name alone, such as "detect planes", now searches the current view instead of always reporting that nothing similar was found.
