FlyPix Release: v4.2.0
Version 4.2.0 concentrates on annotation data properties. A new indicator in the workspace header reports annotations whose geometry or data properties don't hold up — a self-intersecting polygon, a missing required value, one out of range — and lets you pan to each one, while the Inspector flags the same issues on whatever is currently selected. Property values can now also be edited directly in the Analytics table by double-clicking a cell, and that table's Layer, Class, Confidence, and Area columns explain themselves on hover. GeoSense gains a central knowledge base covering how the app itself works, so alongside answering questions about your data it can explain what a feature does and walk you through using it. Rasters also gain a read-only Details view, datasets can be copied from their menu, and the map's Navigation widget now accepts a place name as well as coordinates. This release additionally fixes a handful of minor issues.
Changelog
New Features and Improvements
A new "Details" option in a raster's file list menu opens a read-only overview of the raster: its name and creation date, plus, depending on the source, its file size, source URL, or source layer, and — where available — its extent, pixel dimensions, resolution, and channels.
A new indicator in the workspace header shows how many annotations in the scene have a geometry problem (like a self-intersecting polygon) or a data property that doesn't match the project's schema (a missing required value, one out of range, or no longer a valid option). Click it to see every affected annotation and pan to it. The Inspector shows the same information for whatever is currently selected, with a warning icon on each affected property field.
Double-click a data property cell in the Analytics panel's attribute table to edit that annotation's value in place, without opening the Inspector panel. Press Enter or click away to save, or Escape to discard the change. Boolean properties show a checkbox you can toggle directly, and object/array properties open a JSON edit dialog.
Layer, Class, Confidence, and Area columns in the Analytics panel's attribute table now show an info icon with a short explanation on hover.
A new "Copy Dataset" option in a dataset's menu opens a dialog, pre-filled with the dataset's name, description, and classes, to create a new dataset in the same project. The original's files come along automatically, so the copy can be adjusted independently.
The map's Navigation widget now accepts a place name as well as coordinates. Type a city, address, or landmark and press Enter (or the arrow button) to see matching locations, then select one to jump the map there.
GeoSense can now consult a central knowledge base covering how the app itself works, so as well as answering questions about your data it can explain what a feature does and walk you through using it. Ask it how to train a model, what a setting changes, or where to find something, and it will look the answer up before replying.
The "What's new?" button now pulses with a highlight ring when there's an announcement you haven't seen yet, even if you've turned off the automatic announcement pop-ups.
Changes
Each message in the GeoSense chat now shows the time it was sent, in your locale's 12- or 24-hour format.
Fixes
Changing a dataset's or model's thumbnail now updates it everywhere right away, instead of sometimes requiring a page reload to show the new image.
Clicking or dragging in the empty space around a Data Market cluster popup's offers now pans and zooms the map underneath, instead of closing the popup or blocking the gesture.
